A Project For The Business

Carry out a project on a tangible challenge or opportunity the business is facing, and present it to the owner.

The programme focuses on the application of practical knowledge from industry experts to your specific role and business situation.

Case studies, real-world examples, business tools and frameworks are used to help participants apply their learning to their business situation.

You’ll leave the programme with the skills to develop a high-performing team you can trust and who can take responsibility and share the load in a growing business. You’ll also be ready to deliver more strategic input to the business, backed up with the right skillset.

Format & Time Investment

It consists of two three-day residential programme blocks conducted over a two-month period, with a final one-day session four to six weeks later.

The session format includes small and large group work, one-on-one discussions, a business simulation and guest speakers, while working around themes of self awareness, personal effectiveness, leadership & business understanding.

Skills You'll Develop

  • Techniques to improve leadership, communication and management skills
  • A better understanding of the challenges of an owner-manager
  • How to think strategically to contribute to growing a business

Designed To Support Leaders Within Kiwi-Owned Businesses

This programme allows you to take seven days away from the business over three months, so you can reflect and learn. In a unique practical learning environment, you’ll develop yourself, refine your skills as a leader, and focus on what drives success in your role, your team and the business.

The Leadership Development Programme is the only programme in New Zealand developed specifically for leaders in mid-sized, Kiwi owner-managed businesses who report directly to an owner or director, or want to expand their general business, leadership and people management skills.

It was so relevant to the real world. Talking in the class with the coordinators, and with the classmates and finding out that everyone is going through similar challenges just in a different setting.
