Who is this programme for?

The Emerging Leaders Programme is created for those in supervisory roles, or aim to be in the near future, in businesses with $1M+ in turnover, who want to equip themselves to lead others confidently, or those not yet in leadership roles who want to learn the necessary skills to grow into such positions.

What is it?

Together with the guidance from the lead facilitator and guest presenters, participants will work through modules centered around the following themes:

  • Leadership
  • Creating and delivering business value
  • The importance of strategy
  • Getting the best from others
  • Interpersonal effectiveness
  • Influencing

This will be run as 6 half days – 1 session per fortnight.

What do I get?

Participants in this programme will:

  • Learn new skills, frameworks and tools to become a more effective leader and communicator
  • Develop a broader 'across the business' outlook and a clear sense of direction
  • Work together to find ways to build a culture of accountability and support in their businesses

This is an opportunity for the participants to build peer connections and share ideas of how they can lead in their businesses with clarity and focus.

Kim Hill is a business strategist, coach, facilitator mentor and consultant, with more than 25 years’ experience as a business owner and independent director for Māori and Pakeha businesses, government organisations and entrepreneurship centres.
 
Kim walks with ease in both Māori and Pakeha worlds and works with organisations aligned to her own value structure.
 
Kim’s philosophy is ‘strategy for a meaningful impact’. Her practical, action focused approach helps scale and grow businesses through people, passion and purpose, unlocking opportunities and quickly identifying improvements that deliver immediate and continuous long-term value. Kim is experienced in dealing with many barriers to business growth.

I am passionate about helping businesses "get there faster" with their growth aspirations, and I really enjoy working both one-on-one with business owners and helping their teams with getting growth strategies identified and into action!
 
I started working with high growth businesses after leaving my successful corporate career in both ICT and banking – yes, there is a logical link between the two! My electrical engineering background means I understand and really dig technology as an enabler for so many cool business ideas, but I also have strengths in supporting businesses with designing strategy, market development, sales, leadership and culture.
