We’re hiring: Business Development legend for the Auckland SME market
In 2025 we want to back even more New Zealand business owners to grow, lead better and lift this country’s prosperity. To do that, we’re looking for a new sales / business development team member in Auckland to help us reach more SMEs that the Icehouse can support.
This isn’t a cold-calling widget sales role. It’s about partnering with owners and leaders who are often juggling cashflow, people issues, growth opportunities and a fair bit of stress.
So, who are you?
You might:
- Have run or owned an SME yourself, or been close to one
- Be an Icehouse alumni, or have always admired what we do
- Love talking to business owners and get their world - the payroll anxiety, the “do I hire or wait”, the “why is this so hard” moments
- Be energised by sales and targets, but never forget there’s a human being on the other side of the conversation
- Be ambitious, competitive in a healthy way, and keen to kick some serious goals with a strong team around you
What you’ll be doing
- Meeting and talking with owners and leaders of SME businesses across the Auckland market
- Understanding where they’re at and matching them with the right Icehouse programmes, coaching or support
- Building a pipeline, managing relationships and following through (we care as much about follow-up as first contact)
- Working closely with our delivery and marketing teams so the experience from first conversation to programme completion feels seamless
- Representing the Icehouse out in the market - events, networks, referrals, coffees and the occasional warm beer at a networking function
