One of our managers attended The Icehouse Achieving Business Growth Workshop and recommended the Leadership Development Programme to me. It has been of good value to me personally and the company as a whole. I have gained a better understanding of my own leadership style, how I can improve it and how to address my team members. It has really affected the business in the sense that I am now a more ‘active’ leader. I engage my team members more and as a result work towards the growth of the company as a whole. I was able to network with other business leaders nationwide and learn more about how businesses outside my industry operate.
I was impressed with the facilitators – they were not the usual stereotype. There were lots of role plays and team discussions and they kept the team involved. The biggest skill that I gained was the 360 feedback. I now know where I can improve.
Moreover I found the environment to be very friendly. I interacted freely with my peers and each of us was involved throughout the programme. The format of the programme gave us enough time to do our projects and at the same digest the information and what I learnt from block one. I was able to network with other business owners nationwide. I learnt more about how businesses outside my industry operate. I would definitely recommend this course to other senior managers.
