About Melissa

Melissa has over 25 years business experience gained across disciplines including Advertising, Marketing, Strategy, Innovation, Design and General Management working in London, New York, Wellington and Auckland. She helped launch the Air New Zealand Air Points programme, developed a subscription based technology product launched in Europe for Microsoft, and developed new products and markets for NZX. As Director of Better by Design for NZTE she worked with Stanford D-School to develop a coaching programme in Human Centred Design for New Zealand mid-sized growth companies.

Most recently Melissa established a consulting practice working with New Zealand companies to integrate innovation into their strategic plans, alongside building the first Australasian business to help executives apply Human Centred Design to the very current problem of job disruption.

She has also been a coach on the Global Women Breakthrough Leaders Programme, the Auckland Co-Design Lab, and the AUT Co-Starters programme, is a member of DINZ and a qualified Lifeline Counsellor.
