Aber acquires Kiwi Camping brands
Gregg Brown, managing director of AberGroup has announced the company has acquired Kiwi Camping Company Limited including the brands Kiwi Camping, Halo Peak and the waterproofing agency Nikwax.
The Kiwi Camping product range is distributed through a wide range of retailers, and is a natural extension to Aber’s wholesale business and existing outdoor brands such as GASMATE and CHARMATE.
The acquisition comes on the back of Aber’s purchase of KENT wood fires in 2009 and further adds to a strong portfolio of well-known and respected NZ brands.
There are many synergies between the companies, including a commitment to providing quality products designed for Kiwis and ensuring high level of customer service and after sales support.
Kiwi Camping owners, Tim Stace and Allan Murray will be assisting the transition over the coming season. In addition, several Kiwi Camping employees have joined the Aber team.
Aber aims to ensure the product experience that has been built-up by Kiwi over the past 30 years is continued.
