Funding application

The ICE Angels have a rigorous opportunity review process which is followed for all investments considered by the club. Ventures must be approved at each stage of the process to make it to successive stages and eventually funding. The ICE Angels carry interest in ventures from a range of industries, from technology through to creative sectors, however our members prefer to invest in ventures with a pre-money valuation of between $500k - $3m. The ICE Angels prefer to exit investments within 5-12 years from initial funding.

The ICE Angels investment process:

  1. Submission - Applicant submits Application form to ICE Angels.
  2. Be reviewed - Your Application will be review by the ICE Angels CEO. Once approved you will be requested to provide a brief company overview which will be sent to the ICE Angels members.
  3. The ICE Angels members will then assess the investment opportunity for pre-screening.
  4. Present your business - should your venture be selected you will meet with a small team of ICE Angels to present business plan. ICE Angels members provide same-day assessment: accepted for formal screening or not.
  5. Dinner presentation - present to ICE Angels members at next club meeting - Entrepreneurs objective: generate enough interest to advance to due diligence (at least three members willing to drive due diligence) -Investors objective: identify promising opportunities (strong management team with a clear, credible business plan)
  6. Due Diligence - starts after successful dinner presentation; ends with funding or decline to proceed
  7. Investment proposition presentation - When at least two members have committed to invest, the opportunity is brought back to the club and the investment terms presented.
  8. Settlement - close on equity placement
